The new guy and Meatmen (I think he was also involved) were innocents in it. The new guy got pumped up from the knowledge bestowed and enjoying the success. You can't blame him. Meatmen aided more innocently and without agenda.

Yeah, GDB did it as deliberate pinpoint strike to you. Now that I think of it it came off the heels of us giving him sh*t over the punt blocking stunt he pulled on you in the playoffs.

I agree. They were innocents. I've never been upset at Meatmen about it. He's a good dude. The new guy has it coming, though. lol

You might be right about it being after us giving GDB ****. I can't remember.

Hopefully, I'll knock him back down next season. I got some fresh faces coming in. Just gotta get my offense & defense fine tuned.......

Speaking of offense & defense; I succumbed to the temptation of cutting my plays down from a max of (40 Offense) & (30 defense) to somewhere around 30/25 respectively. Kinda had to in order to compete with you & CJ in all our leagues. ;)

For the longest time I never moved off the 40 marker for offensive plays. You have to now and you have to just keep at it hard to stream-line and for survival. So many passing plays have been neutralized and this is no secret....especially from the long passing arena. It's been a forced scenario. CJ and I compete against one another/push each other to get that perfection game plan. :)

40 plays no good anymore? I've always been maxed out on both sides of the ball.

I also snuck a little nugget in my USFL playoff write up about that title being worth 3x a normal title, figured Smirt would get a kick out of it. GDB has always got on my nerves, he acts like he's being nice but reading between the lines, he's calling you a dumbass.

Yeah, he's a *****. He'll hit the boards immediately after a big playoff win and tell you exactly how your plans failed and how he capitalized. 1 time he said aw why are you silent Smirt after he won and another time spoke about how I was breaking things around the house. I can get vibes off people and figure them out. His aura is the nastiest on here.

I think now that everybody knows about blocked punts it's just part of the game like anything else. It might have been a jerky thing to do when it was used to gain an unfair advantage, but now nobody has an excuse when it happens to them. It's like playing great for three quarters and then losing because you sucked in the fourth. If you dominate the whole game and then lose on a blocked punt, then sorry not sorry, you didn't play the whole game and you deserve to lose. It's not hard to be competent at stopping blocked punts, or competent at doing that.

I disagree to a point.

If you have a poor punt timing punter, yeah, fair game.

If you're not doing over-rides to some capacity in helping yourself, fair game.

Someone can isolate and dig into it if they want (I haven't) but I believe Pern's block on me in Anarchy came from my high ranked ST Blocker TE getting more injured in game and not being in the over-ride spot for the block. Thus, an AI substitution was put in which is out of our hands.

You got two elite GMs going at it in a big game and the one is getting beat legit....they do the job. They lose.

They don't get a punt block and win.

The key to avoiding punts being blocked is simple.......dont punt! Haha


I played a whole season in the Arena league where I never punted. I went for it on 4th down every time. I put up epic offensive numbers and went 8-8. The team wasnt good enough to win six I tried something different

Here's a game in which I was particularly obnoxious. I'm not proud of this, but I'm not sorry either. It's in a numbered league which I haven't won in 14 seasons, so I guess some numbered leagues are tougher than others. Either figure out what I did or don't -- I'm more than happy to take advantage of you, and I won't be sorry about it at all. If you refuse to pay attention to detail, then you deserve what happens to you.
