2031 offseason/free agency/draft

By Cjfred68 - League Admin

Welcome to season 14 of the XFL.

I'm busy wrapping up the XFL alltime stats thread and will be compiling the Hall if Fame candidate.

I've also been updating the draft history thread which is a time consuming project.

Everyone needs to check the league setting threads as I've added another rule for the upcoming season.

Good luck to everyone in free agency and the draft and let the trading begin!

I've got some work ahead of me. I'm in disagreement with 1 of the retirements, however, it was an elite rated push out. (I saw another 1 to 2 years in him)

Thankfully, the heat is off. Finally got the title here and can go with the flow.

Lets see. I've got to make declarations. I'm ok with this because it allows for strategy and creativity.

Paydirt, quite honestly, had a few scared GMs and it went to restricting positions as tight as possible because Rowan Atkinson was like wait, I thought things were gonna be easy and he's here now! :P

I wonder how hard it is for JDB to set up a royal blue hue (shading) during the Early FA Period for those in your depth chart but not signed.

The streets are definitely watching.

Interesting to see targets funneling to another GM interested in/capturing them.

Working through the pick-ups now. Then to see if I have any rabbit out of the hat moves left.

14 inactives/pick-ups. Here's where you toss up a podcast and slowly work through it...

The last time I had 57 players on my roster (and growing) was version 4.2. lol

The Hall of Fame ballots have been sent out to the 4 owners on the Hall of Fame committee which is comprised of:

Smirt211
Raidergreg69
Trslick
Brohl

Each owner can vote for 10 players and a player needs 3 votes to make it into the Hall of Fame. A player can only remain on the ballot for 5 years before he is removed.

Times on ballot

4th time 10 players
3rd time 9 players
2nd time 10 players
1st time 14 players

Sources say all but one of the ballots has been returned and 2 players have been elected with another 7 players needing just 1 more vote to be immortalized into the Hall.

3 of 4 voters or do you, as well, vote? I've got the feeling you stay out of the process.

I like the system, btw.

My contribution is putting them on the ballot for consideration so even if you count me as a vote....its 4 out of 5 to get in (80%) or just 3 outta 4 (75%).

I dont waste my time putting every retired player on the ballot, just who I believe deserves a shot.

Either way is cool. Yeah, what a waste of time that would be and un-doable. (all retired players listed)

Liked the listing of how many times on the ballot. I skewed a bit to the 4-balloters ...tossing a vote or two that way.
