Re: Draft talent

I am having a difficult time finding the exact NFL season numbers on passes over 20 and 50 yards, maybe someone knows where I can find those numbers.

While the sim sounds higher than what the NFL produces for big yard plays it appears that the adjustment is coming closer in realism. My hope from any sim is to try and bring statistics as close to real life as possible. If I am wrong and the NFL actually has more big plays and the sim is going in the wrong direction to real life then I can understand and agree with the disappointment for the new engine.

Yeah about 100 per season or 0.195 per game per team

Then I'm for bringing stats closer to the real life league the sim is modeled after. When I say that more than big passing plays make up important stat lines. IE: turnovers, sacks, rushing, so on and so forth.

Within that framework you should still be able to win with your preferred style. You should be able to contend for a SB as a running team ( last year's Titans and Browns) or a passing team (Bills and Chiefs).

The only way for the programmer for the sim can remain objective is RL stat lines. Style is subjective and changes from person to person. I guess I don't understand the criticism of the new engine.

It’s a fair question Thomas. I was hesitant about 4.6 for the longest time. After a few seasons with it in other leagues, I sort of like it. Certainly different but manageable.

i dont watch the nfl much anymore but what ive seen is you need a good run game and a good pass game. If run game sux defenses play the pass. If passing game sucks they key the run. I do think its harder, especially physically to stop the run. Big tough guys like derrick henry can wear down any defense. In the long run id rather have a team like the titans than the bills or the chiefs.

Well, I figured out who Hammond is. I pulled out a miracle win. It had all the game cadence of an ultra elite from the past: every penalty goes against you and he pulls out magic long 3rd down conversions over and over and you play on offense like you're nerf'd.....I was for 58 minutes.

Consider this my good sportsmanship alert system to ya'll.

Merry Christmas :)

v4.6 it comes down to this:

Competitive wise it could be fun to have close game war after war and the drama each game brings. It looks like you can still tier skill levels of GMs and distinguish but every game plays in a narrow margin of error, therefore, the elite GM can lose more frequently.

Now, here's the problem.

How many Preseason Game #1s can you go through when it's like ok game time - I need to put out my seasonal game plan and Braveheart GMs with fury. lol Hence, that moment you gotta dig deep and put all your chess pieces in place and do deep work.

You're CJ or a CJ equivalent. You've rawr'd 3 leagues breaking passing records and now you're lucky to get 100 in a game, no matter how hard you work on your structure.

Eventually, you're going to be like f*** this. lol

If your CJ, you go to the Darkside, abandon passing, and rush the ball for 250-300 yards a game

Using 4 players with + speed, + ball carry and + avoid fumble with fatigue set between 25-35 depending on opponent to keep em fresh and healthy!!

This allows you to control time of possession 45 to 15 leaving my 11 JAG (just a guy) defense rested and protected.

*as far as figuring out who Hammond is based on "game cadence", "all penalties going against you", "he converts on 3rd and longs" and "feels like your offense is nerfed" is an amazing talent!

I'm not sure why any of this matters, even if he is some old elite player returned because he gave you a tough game or not....he is in the same boat as everyone else playing 4.6....he has to figure it out too.

He is 51-35 Alltime in MFN in his 2 months so just because the sim wasn't great for you doesn't make him some elite from the past come to get you!!!

Most of your reasoning can be simply explained....it's version 4.6

I called out 1961 as Lellow to a no response and that one was a near 100% certainty; tipped by his only MFN-# presence and openly talking about v4.3 which was ages before the account's arrival.

I called out Chicago Bears as GDB to a no response aka no denial, which is a near 100% either him or a 100% shared game plan.

Hammond has a Bryson feel and even Greg would tell you, mmm, you ever feel games vs. him played fair or always seemed off.

Addendum:

I finally figured it out. We're all like discipline is discipline and a random attribute, eh. My theory is JDB imparted Bryson with insider knowledge on how to weaponize discipline into a -10, -10, -10 yard advantage. I'll shut up now.

To summarize it...

It's the Art of War and knowing your enemy *game wise* like Infinity and I were kicking at each other in Big Data. This way you're prepared to prevail.

I know you don't like me, therefore, you can kick it with Greg and he'll tell you the same. The 1 person the games don't play right against is Bryson.

BTW, Merry Christmas. :)
