I think my 2nd-year TE is unhappy because he doesn't even have the most catches + yards out of my TEs. I'll probably have to mess with my offensive gameplan a little anyways but I'm not trying to lose a top TE for free because of some cheese.
That must have been in one of those Dharma Initiative videos JDB posted. I've never watched those...
No, its deductive reasoning based on data analysis!
I did a deep dive into long fieldgoals months ago and went down a time consuming rabbit hole for no real reason except curiousity. I never payed much attention to weather or wind for that matter until I started seeing trends on 55+ yard fieldgoal attempts.
I'm not positive on it, but it seems to hold true plus domes seem to add yards to attempts and assist in accuracy.
The real problem is finding all the conditions to get a true indication.
55+ fieldgoal attempt + heavy winds in the right direction (crosswinds are a whole different story)

It's probably because you rarely target your TE and he was the 4th pick overall and a glorified run blocker.
Either change your play selection or change the TE into a RB and get some miles on him.
Weather has little impact on the game - was what JDB said and I put little faith in him crafting anything but a straight forward kicking scenario. However, I -believe- I have come across where parameters do get inched away on each side yardage wise. Your analysis makes sense unlike the Admiral whom creates fantasy story lines to go along with the game play. lol
You can't really game plan to it but I'll watch for it now in the game viewing. Wind/attempts and does it stray from my parameters.
Dome. You can plan for it to be more true but the other stuff - you can't.

Like I said....it's useless info gleamed from wasted time and energy looking into fieldgoals.
At least it answered Blondies question....but the real question is why does he have it set so high for normal regulation attempts in the 1st place...LOL
Talk about 2 extremes....lol
Smirt rarely ever kicks a fieldgoal and Blondie is attempting 60 yarders with 9 minutes left in the 1st quarter!!
Welp, I can’t say ever really understood special teams in MFN...
You have a beast Kicker but even then I would set my fieldgoal sliders to 55 & 65.
It all depends on the range you are comfortable attempting to kick from during most the game versus end of the half/end of the game.
Your Kicker is 47/66 from 50+ in his career with a long of 59. That's a 71.2% chance for 3 points versus giving the ball to the opponent near midfield if you miss.
You add 17 yards from the line of scrimmage to figure fieldgoal length so a 50 yard field goal occurs at the 33 yard line while a 59 yarder occurs at the 42 yard line.
The ball is given to the opponent from where the kick occurred...7 yards from the line of scrimmage. So that 60 yarder happened from the 41 yard line and the opponent took over at their own 48 yard line which means the kick was actually 58 yards so I have no idea why the dialog said 60....very strange
