Yeah, the NFL is moving towards exciting games with 40 point shootouts and every primetime game this season seems like an instant classic. No lead is safe and QBs are putting up historic numbers.
Certain people complained scoring was too high which clearly by the evidence...it isn't close to reality. They also complained about the few pass plays that actually could work and give owners chunk yardage so they went into the lab and after nuetering long passing to release 4.5 leaving us with a few short passes that worked....i.e. FL hitch, HB Flare and muddled those plays so they won't get chunk plays and now it takes 10-15 play drives to score and one slip up and the drive is over.
No come from behind wins or last second bombs to win games. 4.6 is all about the battle for field position and a good kicker to eck out a 13-9 win.
JDB should really rename this game from My Football Now (MFN) to My Football Back Then (MFBT) since every update seems designed to thwart the passing game and lower scoring!!!
4.5 made long passes non-existent as only a few actually work anymore
4.6 limit any play that worked in 4.5 plus double sacks and still long passing is off the table.
4.7 add option to run triple wing and wildcat formations to remove QB from field and have random landmines on field which kills WRs that run bad routes.
The worst is you're all going to have to now deal with the rationalizations of Ray who's only success comes from Beta Leagues (JDB probably feeds him how the changes alter the game and what the go-to plays are based on that) and you'll have Admiral blustering on and on how he's King of the Game and knows all when he's sh*t compared to the elite.
Yeah not looking forward to this. Makes absolutely no sense to change the game like this. Essentially it’s fixing some problems with 4.5 by potentially creating more problems.
Yep, JDB was away for a week - came flying on for a second and made a change based on a limited vote in MFN-1 and then hung around to assess fall-out. He'll go into Witness Protection now again since main board = quiet.
Before that, Ray and Admiral were trumpeting v4.6 hard while JDB was away in Turks and Caicos (LOL) for the past week.
I've had 5 games in this cycle, 3 played - 1 Wild Card into a scouting situation and 1 more to go. All I've done is write down that I need to scout them. I got 1 more game to spin today. I'll watch it and then I may not have the energy and I'll hit the beautiful red button :( on all 10 leagues I'm in.
