I'll hit the marker. Look at it from my perspective.
jabillups removed me from NCAA with no recourse. Gustoon removed me from NFL with no recourse. Paydirt and True Fans put in a million rules to push me out.
None of that was fair to me and no one cared about that or my hard work.
I'll hit the marker. Thanks for the chance unlike the above.
I went into my offensive playbook and checked how many plays I called and it shows 29 not 28 as you have posted.
In personnel 1-1-3 Halfback Flare is a short passing play and there is another of the same name that is a medium pass play. Perhaps that is the discrepancy?
If so you probably shorted me a play in the 1st 2 games of this 4 game set. Can you please correct or let me know where I am mistaken?
same impact; more risk with HB Flare - Medium to getting sacked or intercepted.
Never mind, you realize they're 2 separate plays.

I'm aware of all the plays that exist in multiple formations and I take that into account when someone is below 25 plays called.
If you are over 25 plays then I typically count it as one...why? It takes time to count 32 teams plays used.
What everyone probably doesn't realize is that no matter how much time you spend in MFN managing your teams...I spend that time as well plus many more hours running my leagues and adding extra content or enforcing rules by checking every game.
The bottom line is this.....
I added this rule for one season because I wanted to see how much more competitive I could make the league.
Every rule I make is for that purpose...close exploits or make managing your team more realistic.
I know using a WR at RB gives you a better chance to win but it removes the need for actual RBs and that doesn't make sense.
I know using LB on the defensive line and CBs at LB improves your defense but that makes DT useless and DEs move to DT and finally we end up with rosters full of WRs and CBs because it works.
I made the 25 play count rule because 1st and foremost the FL Hitch is a homerun waiting to happen and teams were calling it 10-20 times per game....why???....because any overuse penalty didn't outweigh the shot to hit a homerun. Making 25 plays the minimum required meant a more diverse play selection and you could only attempt the Homerun play 5-6 times a game. It's not just the FL Hitch because their are a half dozen or so plays that average 10 yards per attempt. What happened was teams gameplanned with 15 plays (9 runs/6 passes) and all the pass plays were big plays. The consequence was a WR with well over 3,000 yards recieving.
The rule isn't about booting owners....it's about making the game/league more competitive and fun. The only way I would boot anyone is if they made zero attempt to try and comply with the rule.
This league is full of owners that are trying and for that I appreciate each and everyone of you.
...and I'm so used to pulling up a page and getting booted due to PM Warriors ending me.
Oh and I don't want it to sound like a good competitive thing or like a strong trait. I think PM Warriors are cowardly and once I ascertain who came for me that way - I mark 'em like Michael Jordan to deal with. (i.e. crying to a league admin)
I'll comply, CJ and continue to work hard.

CJ, it is my understanding that next season (4.6) you will be no longer enforcing any of the current rules. If there are any carrying over (or new ones), will you be posting them in a separate post so there is no confusion?
I will address it in the off-season thread I create after every season ends.
As it stands now, there will be no custom rules when we switch to 4.6
Further on down the line if custom rules need to be added...we will cross that bridge when we get there.
There are plenty of negatives to 4.6 but the few positives is defensive lineman and offensive lineman matter and speed has been muted so the difference between 75 and 95 speed isn't as big plus acceleration matters much more.
It appears players size and strength matter so playing lighter/faster players out of position carries less weight.
Any rule will be common sense stuff like teams must have a real QB, P & K on the roster to avoid purposeful tanking
CJ, first and foremost I appreciate the effort that you put into making our league run as well as the extras like draft reviews and statistical data collected and presented. If this was a question in your mind, then I want to make myself clear that my intent of asking questions and pointing things out is not to take your contribution for granted but to do as you mentioned what you would like to see, making the effort to comply.
You have pointed out in the past what the spirit of the rule is but this was the first time that I saw that if someone is making a true effort and not abusing a rule that you aren't going to "boot" them.
Now that I understand this last point I'll stop sweating the small stuff.
