People do this type of stuff all the time, ever heard of cat fishing?. IP addresses are almost an archaic way of pinpointing where someone is, or who they are.
When I got a new cell phone two years ago TMobile essentially forced me to have a second phone line which would use a different IP than my personal phone, work computer, home computer, tablet etc. That is before factoring in intentional deception of an IP address. Note that intentional could be innocent or malicious - couldn't a consumer grade firewall protect or change you IP the same as one used in a more malicious/ intentionally deceptive way? Perhaps borrowing another source IP as a result?
When I read all this I tend to agree with behaviors over IPs or what someone told you. Just curious, do you all think you know where I'm from? Some may, but you might have to dig back into a forum or PM to know.
Beyond that though, this is a small community and word travels. I have my thoughts about certain owners. To note, the whole GDB logging into Billy account was identified through game logs (habits) and then was further verified when GDB admitted to doing it for Billy, as well as multiple other unnamed owners. In this case the behavior preceded the acknowledgement. That is the essence of a troll. Trolls hide.
