7/31 is an earmarked indicator.

Comes up a lot in these players. Must be a way to get them out of circulation and/or from effectiveness faster.

Billings was a 95 type speed WR, Kennedy is a 95-er and Nick R. dominated in Legends with elite ratings and about 93 speed. He coded it way back when he was active as speed strike back.

Good game, Blondie.

I was worried about starting at 0-1. In ultra competitive leagues, 0-1 is the kiss of death dependent upon division. (i.e. - PFL for me)

It’s going to be rough this season with this roster. Could easily start out 0-5

MFN in a nutshell


We all gameplan with the intention of winning! We hope we throw for 400 yards, rush for 200 yards, get a KO & punt return TD, hold our opponent to 1 yard while shutting them out plus getting 10 sacks, 5 forced fumble & 5 interceptions.

The reality is you mostly fall short of those dominate numbers but if you are good enough....things go your way and you put up decent numbers.

THE SITUATION

I joined the PFL during the season and took over an 0-5 team. The roster needs work and I entered week 15 with a 5-9 record and eliminated from the postseason. I knew if I lost my last 2 games...I would get a top 10 draft pick.

My opponent was Smirt and atypically his team was also eliminated from the postseason but what was typical was Smirt didn't have his 1st round draft pick for the upcoming draft.

So it's a week 15 game with no postseason implications and only my team gained anything from losing and for those that know Smirt....he hates losing.

THE GAMEPLAN

I'm not the type to play backups or use my RG as my punter so I decided to make my gameplan somewhat ridiculous by passing +90% and setting a rule to go for it on 4th down no matter the location on the field. So no punts & no fieldgoals and a pass happy play matrix.

THE RESULT

The first half went mostly as I expected and Smirt took a 31-7 lead into halftime. He scored on every 1st half possession and I threw an interception & a TD plus punted twice. Yeah, I know what I said earlier but obviously I screwed up the "goforit" 4th down rule or the A.I. simply ignored it.

The 2nd half didn't go as I planned since we outscored his team 33-8 and won the game 40-39. The gameplan was designed to blow up in my face but the sim decided to reward me for the extreme attempt.

I put up Smirt type passing numbers (523 yards/5 TD passes) while rushing the ball just 14 times for 11 yards.

THE VERDICT

I gameplanned to lose and potentially get embarrassed by Smirt to improve my draft position and get a laugh and it worked putting up ridiculous passing numbers and hurt my draft position!

Only in MFN!!!!!

First this and then the CJ post....

Unless you want everyone using the same plays, which I will post and pm, then this is what will be needed to be done to get better variety and level the playing field.


GDB to Hammond. Bitter much. It's the exact nonsense he did to me before a PFL Conference Final game vs. Karamat or dbmm. One or the other. Here's his game plan - blah blah blah. Town crier.

Thread is in an NFL League. That's referencing the 3-4 plays where a WR @ TE can be best utilized. PM Warrior, baby.

It was my first playoff miss since real life 2018 or maybe even earlier.

I had to weigh whether you wanted to step on my throat for the game or trust the surface talk of caring about your draft position.

I chose option a) and played it that way.

Newsflash: People lie and are deceptive and I'm shocked you didn't go for the death blow on me.

If I had played conservative I would have won, yeah.
