Unfortunately, Thacker's stats are locked in since a Round 1 bye isn't happening. Preservation.

I do have some wicked stats career wise with Bert Reynolds and Perry Thacker that's developing so that's cool.

Wildcard round

I have to admit, the Wildcard round snuck upon me before I had a chance to do a breakdown. In my defense, I was sidetracked by an owner that became completely unhinged. He went on a wild tirade I'm the forums cussing owners, their mothers and their kids out.

He then sent me an ultimatum via PM where I had to do as he said or he was quitting my league. When I responded, I dont like react kindly to ultimatums, he responded that he kills anyone that crosses him.

I PMed JDB with the link to the thread where he broke several dozen rules of conduct plus asked him to read my PMs from him. It gets better, something very similar happened in the USFL league with admin Tribewriter. I messaged him with all the details.

The good news is that individual is no longer in any of my leagues and the ball is in JDB court whether he remains in the MFN.

Now to the Wildcard games!

Cincinnati 16 @ Buffalo 25

Buffalo started fast and took a 22-7 lead into halftime and held off a comeback by 2 time XFL Champion QB Mervin Couture in the 4th quarter to win by 9.

Milwaukee 20 @ Pittsburgh 3

Milwaukee's defense shut down Pittsburgh offense allowing only 173 total yards of offense and a late fieldgoal to win convincingly on the road

Atlanta 12 @ Arizona 21

Arizona went up 14-3 in the 1st quarter and Atlantas offense could never get on track settling for 2 1st half fieldgoals between a key interception. Arizona's touchdown in the 3rd quarter put the game out of reach as Atlanta scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter but was too little too late.

Gem City 10 @ Brooklyn 16

Injuries limited Gem City's offense as neither team did much on offense. Brooklyn led 13-3 thanks to a missed by Gem City. The score tightened at 13-10 in the 3rd quarter but the final points of the game was a fieldgoal by Brooklyn with 1:11 left in the 3rd quarter. Gem City's Marcus Steven's threw interceptions on his teams final 2 posessions of the game to seal the victory for Brooklyn.

This guaranteed that the NXC will have a new team win the conference with the loses to Atlanta and Gem City.

In contrast, 3 of the 4 remaining teams in the AXC have won the conference with only Milwaukee being the lone possible new team to do so.

Arena and XFL Titles have alluded me and ones I want badly due to the awesome concepts and private league standings. Love the leagues and teams I have within them. But this is going to be hard as &^*%. If by some miracle I out-last this one I could be chasing 'ghosts' whom will be charging at me at 100 MPH velocity with a torso shattering spear in his grasp. lol

I've got no grasp on our game. Could out-last and win it. Could get blown off the field. I just want it to sim now....!!!

XFL VII

Dakota Blizzard
Cjfred68

Vs

Memphis Maniacs
Greyghost1225

While this is a battle between the two top seeds in each Conference, some are viewing this as a David vs Goliath matchup. The Dakota Blizzard are in their 3rd straight league championship while this is Memphis's first. Dakota is 15-5 alltime in the playoffs while Memphis is just 4-2. With the clear experience edge, let's look at the current seasons statistical rankings.

Dakota has the #1 overall offense which will be squaring off against Memphi's #6 overall defense. Memphis has the #8 total offense which will face Dakota's #3 total defense.

The key matchup will be Dakota's top ranked passing offense which averaged 398.8 yards per game vs Memphis's 2nd ranked pass defense which only allowed 166.5 yards per game. The other key matchup will be Memphis's 4th ranked rush offense which averaged 124.2 yards per game vs Dakota's 5th ranked rush defense which allowed 61.2 yards per game.

With both teams having a -3 turnover margin, we should see some turnovers in the game. Dakota has no serious injuries heading into the game with just a few players dinged up while Memphis has their starting RT and TE both questionable for the big game.

I was going to put this in the QB All-Time Leader Thread, however, it's a locked thread.

Cunningham is an absolute beast. The combination of the 100 accuracy with the 100 intelligence (accelerated play knowledge) alongside a determined GM whom is plugged in with maximizing his offense = mind-blowing statistics!

Just faced Cunningham. If you leave an opening, he'll locate it and zap you off the field!

...

but any ways, good luck to both teams in the title game!
