Punt Block Controversy

It's not really win-at-all-costs. I still believe in playing the game; it's just that blocked punts are part of the game. If some *** with an inferior gameplan and/or roster wins because he outworks you, then yes, you deserve to be screwed over.

Even in an idealized game environment, there's still stuff that sucks. Injuries ****, troll players ****, the old bomb-and-blitz strategy sucked, and receiver nerfs ****. Blocked punts do not cease to be a reality just because you don't like them.

Please do....I would love to know if I'm vulnerable to it....I would have to breakdown and load it up on my computer to do the overrides on all my teams and that would really ****.

I tried messing with overrides a while ago and they didnt work on my phone...not sure why. I set my depth chart for special teams with my best blockers so I dont understand why the need for overrides in the first place.

I have an old Samsung G5, which is pretty much the opposite of modern. It still works for me. Just scroll across the formation and tap inside the box for the position you want. Then select a new player. You probably don't need me to tell you that you shouldn't trust Tarquin. Do your own work! It's a big PITA, but you only have to do it once.

AFAIK the default blockers are borrowed from the field goal team. You definitely don't want that; I'll roll right over those guys. Without overrides, you'll either have to sacrifice field goals and extra points or concede punt blocks.

So if you cant use you best blocking offensive lineman to prevent punt blocks....who are you suppose to use? And where? I'm assuming the 2 spots offset from the 2 tackles?


And maybe you are right slowtospeak....it might work on my phone.....I know I tried messing with it awhile ago and it was a PITA and in some formations the square was blank and I couldnt add anyone to it.

True though people should use eyeball's example where he did the punt block in all his leagues and because of a thread he removed it from all his leagues

Now if people wont do that for XFL owners then at least just NOT do the punt block explixit in XFL because i would imagine there are other leagues they are in and they can have at it in those leagues unless they want to do the same thing there as here.

Why are you even reading my league forums? I dont ever go to league forums for leagues I'm not in and I definately wouldnt post in them unless someone invited my opinion.

Its weird.........someone that doesnt belong but always watching......they have a term for that....stalker

Look at what other people do about it. Don't imitate me, because I'm not as good at blocking as some people are, but my example would be a start. Also, since I almost got DY killed, I'm pretty gun-shy about telling other people what to do. Things might not work for other people like they do for me.

I won't do this in leagues where it offends people. I'm not trying to be a lazy *** or a jerk about it. I'm just doing something that works for me, same as anybody else. I've tried to play like everybody else, and I know that I'm not very good at it. Part of the reason my style is so weird and ugly is that pretty doesn't work for me.
