It's not really win-at-all-costs. I still believe in playing the game; it's just that blocked punts are part of the game. If some *** with an inferior gameplan and/or roster wins because he outworks you, then yes, you deserve to be screwed over.
Even in an idealized game environment, there's still stuff that sucks. Injuries ****, troll players ****, the old bomb-and-blitz strategy sucked, and receiver nerfs ****. Blocked punts do not cease to be a reality just because you don't like them.
