WEEK 13

We have reached the 4th and final 4 game set of 4 games and nobody is happier then good ole me! It's a time consuming thing to monitor but overall it's been a huge success as everyone has tried hard to follow the rule.

This Sim/game is weird and we have all discovered that picking 25 offensive plays doesn't guarantee 25 different plays will be used. I've personally settled on 32 plays selected to reach the 26-28 range per game.

The 1st game in the last subset saw 30 teams reach passing at 24 per while 2 teams missed it by 1 play. It's a good start and we should finish strong.

Thanks everyone for being patient and open minded about this new rule and I believe the competition level is at one of its best in the 20 year history of the league.

I have 39 plays in my PB. 3 formations with no rules to limit play calls. For some reason some of these plays won't get called.

For example I have a formation with 2 outside runs. Why is one called almost always and the other virtually never? I find this happening in other formation in other play types. How do I fix this so I don't get booted?

Same thing happens to me and others as well. I'd suggest throwing in some rules throughout the game to "highlight" certain plays in those formations. That's what ultimately helped me.

It was a jacked up game, which played improper. Just looked at the opposing RB #1 and #2 now. I've never had a game like that and you can peep Big Data - the insanity of my last loss there. Horrific runners.

I'll play Game #15, as is and not even sure who the opposing GM of Week #16 is but I'm sure they'll be amped up to try to game plan my failure to attain plays on O.

I'll rule if I have to for Game #16 to delete after a way to get a million plays.

If it fails and I get booted. I'll just leave MFN. I've done the clean sweep leave before.

I had similar problems....I removed plays that didn't get called and replaced them with others. Running out of just 3 formations is limited also. Use more formations

At the very least, if you don't want to go the rules route, I'd try and get balance out of three formations, if you tend to use the Big 3. Pick the same amount of plays for each (try and do 2 per play type).

The thing to remember about this game/Sim is that every play is a series of random "dice rolls" starting with play selection on both sides and accounts for a ton of variables including individual player ratings.

Random "dice rolls" means there is a certain amount of luck involved. You may have a favorable % chance of a successful outcome and still lose based on the random generated number.

Luck is a factor....the code isn't a living breathing form of artificial intelligence that factors in what owner is playing and JDB isn't actively involved in individual outcomes...he barely makes actual changes to the code let alone logs in.

The 25 play count rule was created to force owners to use more plays because actively force feeding 12-15 plays resulting in one-sided results and 3,000+ yard recievers. It has clearly worked as the league is as competitive as ever.

It's not just the FL Hitch that increases teams chances to win. There are a half dozen or so "big plays" that everyone wants to use more. That's the point!
