Wait, what about Eli!?

The defense won both of those championships, not Eli. He'll probably get in the Hall of Fame eventually, but I was never very impressed with him as a player TBH.

OMG a Giants fan that realizes Eli was Mr. Mediocrity. Love it.

Just for fun I looked up Eli's career stats after I saw your note and I was actually pretty surprised:
57,023 yards passing #9 all time
366 passing TDs #10 all time
241.6 yards per game (236 starts)

For a rough comparison:
John Elway
51,475 yards #11 all time
300 TDs #13
220.0 YPG (234 starts)

They both won two Super Bowls, but I'd think most fans would say Elway is an all time great, and Eli only got to the NFL because of Peyton. Not saying Eli is amazing since the Giants rarely made the playoffs, but his stats are still HOF worthy.

It's not fair to do a straight stat comparison with Elway...different eras, different offensive philosophies. A fairer comparison is with Eli's peers, how many times did he lead the league in passing yards? TD passes? I would think a potential HOF QB would consistently be in the top 3 in the league.

Absolutely valid argument - don't think I'm trying to be an Eli apologist, because I'm not.

If you compare him to Rivers or Roethlisberger they both have 6-7000 more career passing yards, a good deal more TDs and more career wins (Eli was 117-117 according to Wikipedia). I'm just saying with top 10 career stats and two SB wins he eventually *will* get into the HOF, not necessarily that he's worthy of it.

He'll get in because of his last name. If he wasn't a Manning I don't think we'd be discussing this.

Too many injuries for my Bills. Almost half our starters were out for this game.

Expectations severely lowered.

I'm no doctor but I was not buying Tua's "back injury" story from Sunday, and if he did in fact suffer a concussion against the Bills, I hope they severely punish those involved. Last night's injury was not a good look for a league that's already had concussion issues.

First and foremost is Tua's health, which thankfully seems great since he flew home with the team. Now we need answers as to what exactly happened on Sunday that led to him continuing to play.

Carson Palmer once said in a roundtable interview someone is gonna die on the field. Let's hope and pray the NFL doesn't make him Nostradamus.
