It is what it is. I’m more mad at the engine than those who manipulate it. I’ve, more or less, figured out how to beat it. Doesn’t scare me like it used to but it still makes me go against my tendencies on offense.

As much as everyone wants to think MFN is stagnic and boring....the evolution of offense & defense has steadily improved over the course of time it was introduced.

When 4.6 first hit.....2,500 yards passing was elite level and now owners are hitting 4,000 to 5,000 yard passing seasons.

Gameplans are constantly evolving season by season as everyone focuses on on what works offensively & defensively. Like Smirt likes to say...it's a constant chess match

JDB's intention was to nerf the passing game in totality and he succeeded for awhile. (the 2,500 passing totals as a high mark to achieve) Even today you can see with the Ai (Ai the opponent) structure it mostly plays p***y ball. (a wide array of zone defensive plays, playing hide n go seek with any chance of pulling up a red bar to combat) That in combination with the Flat Zone all stream had us befuddled for awhile. I get either now and I blow it to Kingdom Come as a middle finger to JDB's failed effort.

Yeah and it's why I was mad about his sitting in on the Elite Draft (in complete sneaky silence) in I believe a time period before that. He dove in and over-corrected to your mention of the FL Hitch and HB Flares. He thought that he ended it with v4.6 and the zone negative familiarity design. I believe the Elite League Draft was in an era before that, however, same concept: find the PACK separating concepts and detonate them to oblivion. My man was never gonna peer into Punisher's game plan and take away his GO TOs.

What's your opinion on doubtful/questionable players or injuries? I just lost a conference championship (to an admittedly all time elite team) without my top two RBs. They were both questionable with ankle and leg injuries in the 30s, so I figured they would be pretty worthless as runners. Do you guys have any standards about injuries? "My WR2 has a hand injury at ##% so I'm not going to play him," "My LT has an arm injury of ##% so I'm going to rest him" etc.

I think I made the right call not playing the injured RBs, but I'm just curious if you have a certain injury threshold where you won't use an injured player no matter how important he is to your offense or defense (besides the obvious serious injury where a rating is under 15%). Do you run your best players out in the playoffs no matter what even if they're doubtful or questionable? Thanks for any input.

You took that, though. One area of the depth chart too dinged up or multiple all around and you gray out too much - you will lose or it can be too far gone any way and you lose. But it's a delicate balancing act of what to do. Doubtful = basically never.

Questionable. Playoffs: Neck - 5 week go for it. Body part on a WR/RB you can get away with - go for it. (ie. hand on an RB = dumb move to play and run him) Multiple body parts = player more limited, more apt to be ended. There's so many permutations and angles to take on it. Variables when I have the depth chart up in front of me and I'm deciphering how to not let the engine play me out.......where am I in the standings.....what part of the season is it....what can I get away with.....what can I not.

Example of a conference final of the injury nerf: Gustoon in Parody. I had like one usable play maker and went 100% run to try and get the win. Play D and grind the game. I barely lost in a no chance scenario and my man got a cheap title.

If I activated them it'd be for a 100% passing scenario given your being down the #1 and #2 RB.
