Can anybody explain the roles of offensive and defensive coordinators? I didn't re-sign my old OC figuring he was going to retire and hired somebody new. With mostly the same players and same head coach's playbook, my offense went from 360 yards per game in 2042 to 211 per game in 2043. I know it's only two games so far, but I figure there must be some connection.
It's all in your control with your play calls and over-rides.
Plus schedule. You probably upgraded to a Bruno-AG etc conga line non-division.
I've actually played Cincy and Houston so far - Pittsburgh is next, so I may be lucky to break 100 yards of total offense. I get to look forward to the Memphis/Atlanta beatdowns later in the season.
I don't have as many offensive and defensive rules here as in other leagues, but with such a huge dropoff year over year and the OC the only change in the equation it seemed logical that coordinators have something to do with playcalling, even if it's ultimately the HC's playbook.
Maybe, but play calling is in our hands. I've never once considered a coach under any scenario with my offense. I re-do my depth chart for Preseason Game #1, renew the over-rides, make my play calling as refined and honed in as possible and then arm the nuclear warheads. Bye, bye competition.
I think with skill level and dialing in - you can over-ride any coaching situation and you're a near elite GM on the precipice, therefore, I wouldn't even give coaching a thought.

Appreciate the vote of confidence smirt - means a lot coming from a years-long dominant player like yourself.
