I'll paint a quick scenario. You're in the Title Game and have been through 22 Game Plans, 22 Scouting Scenarios, 22 Game Preparations (Preseason - 3, Regular Season - 16, Playoffs - 3), not to account for the seasonal set-up at Preseason Game #1....that's a massive amount of time dedication. Game sims, we'll make it this league, middle of the night. You stay up. Your opponent is up as you see on the chat. Maybe they watch the game, maybe they don't but PING the immediate reaction post to the game's result.
They won because a punt block got you and it saved their hide. Your game plan was winning over their game plan but a punt block turned the tide and you lose the title.
That's not enough, they've green lit the board to tell you all about it.
Ima pretty much wanna fight them. Obviously, you can't. I'm a nice and civil person and I just want what's fair. Me? I know if I won like that - I'd quietly not say a word on the board and let it cool off.
You don't deserve to be cheated like that, but luck is part of the game. Rest assured that if the other guy is good enough to get to the championship game, he worked pretty hard too. You don't have a monopoly on elbow grease. I'm getting lucky, but I'm also working hard on getting lucky. Blocking punts is not as easy as, "put your fastest guy on the wing and let'er rip." If it were, then everybody would do it.
I agree that it is pretty jerky to post smack on the boards after you pull off a blocked punt, but part of the exploit is to make the most of it. However, by doing so, you are disrespecting the efforts of the victim. Just because you
have a right to vent doesn't mean you
are right to do so.
