JDB lacks heart and passion; toggles heartlessly in the shadows has always been my problem with him.

Quick example.

You have an end user operating in 'good faith' (me, everyone) and then you have an end user not operating in 'good faith.' (Bryson) Fed inside info to win on a level of 12+ titles in a row within a league and JDB never had the heart to come in - stop the title runs - and be there for everyone else.

I pieced it together. Bryson had to have been fed that 100 strength at the line will trigger penalties on the opponent on both sides of the ball and he utilized it to be unstoppable - outside of anything game planning or hitting the scouting tabs or anything within our power to try and win....to try and beat him.

One example.

*Plays TAPS for the Admiral whose Battleship got sunk*

That may give me the energy to game plan for my 5 games over the weekend. LOL

*plays TAPS for Bill Stein, MFN Guy; whom dropped the game*

Reason: Lead guy in being a PM Warrior to have me removed from leagues (Moguls) or pressure to (Private-75 - can't remember if mwd caved in) But my man was on League Admins left and right to have me removed/not let in to leagues.

Au revoir, baby.

I did a new census after about 13-14 months.

We lost 18 leagues but added 9 new leagues.

We lost 111 owners but added 56 new owners for a net lose of 55 owners which takes us to roughly 271 total owners in MFN.

A good litmus test would be comparing when Tribewriter was elated that the USFL made the first page of the listed leagues.

Now it's above the top half on that page and in a little bit of time nearly all the MFN-# leagues will fade to put the USFL right below MFN-1. :(

I know I gave 'em sh*t, however, without the discord crew MFN would be dead.

MFN-# leagues were always doomed!

Custom leagues run by active league admins who recruit, lead and add extra content are what is saving MFN.

I had issues with the Admiral but he was an active league administrator and his lose hurts way more then any general owner.

I've been saying it and will continue to say it.....we need more owners willing to take on the responsibility of being "active" league admins.

For example, I joined the Galactic Football League which was set up with an outstanding premise, a deep backstory and quality team custization. He even renamed a bunch of players prior to the allocation draft......he did a great job in league creation.....but then he failed to completely fill the league which is a failure in recruiting and its now 8 games into the 1st season and not a single post has been put up in the forums, not even a good game thread.

This means the league will slowly fade away unless the league admin changes his approach and becomes more active. It could last 3 or 4 more seasons but without constant attention, owners will leave with no active recruitment to replace them.

It takes a certain type of individual to be a league admin....its mostly a thankless position and you get more complaints then compliments but you need a vision and a direction to steer the league forward.

Why does this game not have more of an outreach?

Or are there 250ish people in the whole world ridiculous enough to fall into this trap? Myself included of course.

I looked for this. It can't be that unique of a search.

FIRST

It's basically a PC game which in and of itself is a niche market compared to Playstation & XBOX on one side and Phone APP games from the play or Apple store on the other side.

SECOND

This simulation is basically a text Sim with very basic graphics compared to more polished products like Football Mogul and the sort.

THIRD

JDB is a one man show...the game is free with options to pay if desired leaving him with zero profit....the money he does make through advertisements and bought credits goes to buying server time.....hence zero advertisement and no money to grease Google to put on at the top of searches.

Basically, the game is found through word of mouth and those actively searching for something similar...I've been pushing JDB for years to make an APP version which would greatly increase traffic and end-users but I get the sense that he doesn't think the game is ready for that step..

If everyone would just accept the fact we are all just beta testers for an eventual final version, years down the road....maybe it makes the experience more palatable!?!

As long as I get some type of legacy badge in the end then, then it will be palatable.

We probably get to buy the final version for a 10% discount...LOL
