Now next generation copy is the AG defense. If I were him, I'd be mad. Taking my work and utilizing it as your own to ascend to the pinnacle of the game.

I used to copy people's plays/strategies in my early days, I haven't looked at what people call or do in some time now. Everything I do now is of my own accord. I have my own methods for creating rules and deciding what plays I select. Mostly it comes from just watching my games. Its always a work in progress but I don't have a lot of time to put into this game these days so its no secret to anyone looking at my game logs I run the same GP every week.

I do try to make adjustments for the better teams but most of the time that doesn't happen.

Yesterday's page sitters become today's 10/10 difficulty, bayonet between the teeth battle to the death competitors. (HHH from the past and Mitch - current - to name a couple)

My man sweated me (page sat, reverse engineered, eye of the tiger determination to take me down lol )and then had the audacity to put me as someone 'in the upper tier' of the game. HHH would come to pay me respect and I'd back off on my fire on him and start hyping him. Mitch - I got to humble and teach him a lesson or two as I did the flip and gave him too much props on the way up.

The problem with respect is it comes organically and all you can control about respect is giving it to others. To demand respect is to tell others, “You will respect me!” or otherwise threaten or punish those who do not act according to your wishes. To command respect is to have others observe and admire your actions of their own volition.”

Respect must be earned. Earned as well as returned. Meaning, if one wants to be respected, one must show the same for other people.

The person/owner I respect the most in MFN is Trslick and it has nothing to do with winning or losing!

Everyone knows you are a great owner Smirt but respect is about more then how many Titles you have won.

Some people will use the fact you desire respect as a weapon and you are handing them the weapon.

I hope I'm respected but it's not something I really concern myself with for the most part because it's not a static target, it's constantly moving based on your actions day by day.

In that particular instance I'm talking about how I fed him: you're 10/10 difficulty to beat, you're becoming one of the next generation top players or whatever. I thought we were friends. It was cool for him to sit on our shared league pages for 1/2 day reverse engineering marathons to copy me but then he wants to act like 1 win over me makes him a Legend and I'm 'among the upper tier' lol You sat and copied me, beyotch - I'd say I'm a lot more than that.

Getting salty that people don't think you're the absolute best but among the best is like getting upset that a particular kind of frosting isn't on a delicious cake.

Obviously, everyone who actively competes to improve at this game wants to be the best, but you can't command respect by expecting everyone to think that way and getting mad if they don't. That's the point of CJ's post, and you let that get to you so hard because of how competitive you are.
