Dealing with this in moguls currently with new owner, and prior xfl champion arscola. Took over billstein team and almost solely runs olb zone. I took tips from smirt to beat the play, won me a championship in moguls last season.

It’s beatable. It’s just annoying af. You shouldn’t be able to spam one play to instant success overnight.

Easy solution: give league admins the ability to remove certain plays.

arscola, let me tell you man. Pretty sure he's the guy who came full throttle after me in FA - all my players and did the B.I.G. strategy of pulling up my team page to try and f with me the best he could. Also, I think it was in MFN-7, he posted a huge help guide on how to go set by set on defense. He really wanted me to lose. I'm not surprised he is playing in Moguls like a tool. It's usually the ones who come at you vocally that are the d*cks like if they won, they'd never shut up etc.

I agree, I dont mind the play style but it is annoying. I try to play against that harder than other owners because that person is clearly cognizant of what they're doing.

Those wins are all like championships

I got the Flat Zone pretty boxed in now. I've got a wide vary of plays across my teams, therefore, I may not have the 212 pass I need (there's a limited availability one that ends it) but typically I'll have the proper runs. I'll scan through the log and if it's an all Flat Zone game and I nail the run or two that rips through it for the TD I'll vocally go BANG and fist pump. :)

Probably explains my behavior. If I take an L to a GM who got mouthy with me beforehand I'll lay back coiled like a viper awaiting them to hit the board and for me to react. LOL

Flat zone spamming worked when people either passed heavy or had a good mix of run/pass. It sucks now.

At the end of the day, we all have access to the same data, the same patterns of gameplay from the same GMs. Some things work, some things don't! I don't think people care about originality (though I have a league where I test my own concepts) as much as what works for their team!

I used to care more about it when we had an engine that allowed for it. But now everyone pretty much runs the exact same plays on offense. A bit boring unfortunately.

I really miss long passes.

I feel like it's mostly because there are very few that are consistently good. Hopefully the next patch resolves it.
