I've reached the point where strength isn't really a factor to me for OL or DL.
Well not really, I use it as a last tiebreaker so for example
OL#1
Run block 100
Pass block 100
Speed 70
Strength 70
OL#2
Run Block 90
Pass Block 90
Speed 40
Strength 100
I'm taking OL#1 everytime especially at tackle. I like my tackles to be fast so they can get to the block for outside rushers more then strength which I still don't see any evidence it matters a ton.
That's why you will see my teams have most offensive linemen with 10+ years experience. Most owners won't pay an older OL when his strength fades despite being locked at 100/100 at blocking.
****, I can sign 13-15 year offensive linemen with 100/100 for the League minimum and I just sign a bunch of them to create depth for injuries. I never see the need to draft them high or overpay for any 5 year vets that hit free agency.
Defensive line is even worse when it comes to valuable skills....Speed trumps all so if I have an option of:
DE #1
Speed 50
Strength 100
Run defense 100
Pass rush 100
DE#2
Speed 82
Strength 50
Run defense 50
Pass rush 50
I'm taking DE#2 everytime
