Yeah, not sure either. I’ve always found the FG meter strange. I wish there was a bit more control situationally for the owner (outside of end of half).

Thanks for the info. It helps.

You can make rules to govern just about any situation you want but it can become annoying and if you make a mistake....it can lead to a whole host of problems you never intended.

Rules are great but you must be very careful when constructing them.

I only add 1 rule per game as a rule so I know it won't screw me up...once it gets through a game without weird outcomes then it joins the saved rules group.

I'm right around 20 rules now but I just use the sliders for fieldgoals except certain 4th down rules I use

My defense is all rules. I have 8-10 on offense. Never tried any special teams rules.

Belichick is God.

I buried him in our division over in MFN-2 and monster mashed him to Kingdom Come in a Title Game in MFN-23. I kept silent and didn't rub it in.

My man is classless. Couldn't give me props and admit defeat - cool, fine but my man just went back and did the right down the line thing AGAIN on my FAs in MFN-2.

Like boy are you crazy? Pull up my team page and pinpoint come for me again. I mean, really. Just go away dude.

AI is rigged to cheat in Big Data. An AI team got the #1 seed and the bye over me, which I find to be incredibly disrespectful to my 19 submitted game plans.

AI, in that league, is rigged to mire your offense down to a halt and not allow you to score. League behavior = different than any other league.

BTW, it has been at least a solid real life 2 weeks since I faced a vulnerable punter (punt timing, weak). Is it because I've got my division teams and then like all CJs as opponents or has MFN shored up all over with AI making sure to sign punters and keep teams smooth?

I only had 1 come up recently. No Punter and I attempted to mid-week block 'em from getting one. They didn't go to sign one, though.

Can I pick your brain on o linemen smirt? Just lost a playoff game where I gave up 8 sacks. I think it's partly because I didn't have enough different medium passes called and got overuse penalties.

My real question is strength vs. blocking skills. Seems like you go for 100 run/pass blocking even if it's a 33 year old with 65 strength - true? Just trying to figure out if I've been overvaluing brute strength this whole time, and the "savvy veteran" is the way to go. Or if you do lots of overrides on the o line depending on formation or plays? Thanks.

CJ said something recently and then I tracked it in my mind when watching games and I'd see an allowed sack. I do think you're better off with the 65-70 strength 100/100 run pass block guy than the LT #2 with the 95 strength and daylight 85 pass block per se. I'd see that give up a sack and be like **** the stinker is right but yeah I go for the 100's and legitimate strength rather than 100 strength and daylight 70/70 etc.

I do over-rides to enhance each O play.

Let me go pull up your game.

You faced an elite defense, player wise. I caught that MLB #1 early and the talent level at CB #3 and #4.

You could have easily won the game, too and you have the right plays. HB Flare - Medium = feast or famine.

If the game rolled a bit differently you win with an over-power vs. the d plays you faced.

I've reached the point where strength isn't really a factor to me for OL or DL.

Well not really, I use it as a last tiebreaker so for example

OL#1
Run block 100
Pass block 100
Speed 70
Strength 70

OL#2
Run Block 90
Pass Block 90
Speed 40
Strength 100

I'm taking OL#1 everytime especially at tackle. I like my tackles to be fast so they can get to the block for outside rushers more then strength which I still don't see any evidence it matters a ton.

That's why you will see my teams have most offensive linemen with 10+ years experience. Most owners won't pay an older OL when his strength fades despite being locked at 100/100 at blocking.

****, I can sign 13-15 year offensive linemen with 100/100 for the League minimum and I just sign a bunch of them to create depth for injuries. I never see the need to draft them high or overpay for any 5 year vets that hit free agency.

Defensive line is even worse when it comes to valuable skills....Speed trumps all so if I have an option of:

DE #1
Speed 50
Strength 100
Run defense 100
Pass rush 100

DE#2
Speed 82
Strength 50
Run defense 50
Pass rush 50

I'm taking DE#2 everytime
